WAVE BL has relationships with several major container shipping companies including: MSC, Gym, ONE, Hapak Lloyd. But it would jeopardize the not-so-outlandish speculation that MSC makes up the majority of his 100,000 eBLs.

First, MSC is now the world’s largest container shipper and recently moved Maersk from the top spot.

There is also a bit of insider information. MSC was launching blockchain eBL At WAVE BL in April 2021, to my surprise, this article became one of the most popular articles I’ve ever published. And the audience was not our usual blockchain crowd.

Like many startups, WAVE BL’s success didn’t happen overnight. Launched in 2016, its first success was being selected as a Barclays Techstars Accelerator. ZIM in Israel was the first major shipper onboarded in 2017 as a pilot client.

WAVE BL has raised $15 million, including ZIM, in its final funding round in early 2021, according to Crunchbase. With today’s announcement of eBL surpassing 100,000, we wouldn’t be surprised to see another funding announcement soon.
