According to the latest forecasts from US market research firm Gartner, the metaverse is expected to be one of the powerful trends that will help inject new momentum into future business models. Emerging concepts of digital humans and the industrial metaverse will play a big role here.

Gartner predicts that by 2027, more than 40% of the world’s largest enterprises and organizations will use Metaverse-related technologies such as augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and digital twins in their projects to increase revenue.

Arnold Gao, Senior Director Analyst at Gartner, said: Upgrades and advancements make your avatar more human-looking, smoother in human interaction, and intelligent in handling commercial tasks.

“The commercialization of digital humans will no longer be a pipe dream in the near future when these technologies are fully mature. At that time, AI humans will liberate people from basic jobs and create many new business opportunities. said Gao. So far, the digital human has been deployed as a TV show anchor, his brand ambassador, his online influencer, and more. Some of them have become celebrities and have received a lot of attention from their fans. This presents a great potential for achieving your business objectives.

Another buzzword is the industrial metaverse. This refers to a virtual world that reflects real-world industrial elements such as equipment, machines, factories, grids and transportation systems. “The industrial metaverse concept is based on digital twins, but it is a more advanced and complex technology that makes industrial scenes look more realistic and data processing more intelligent,” said Gao.

The digital transformation into the industrial metaverse will enable decision makers to be more informed and maximize efficiency when business processes are in motion, he added.
