synopsis

Over the holiday season, Flipkart ran a metaverse pilot named Flipverse for a week under Flipkart Labs. This follows his NFT airdrop on his FireDrops in partnership with Nothing phone and Digital Treasure Hunt. The bigger focus is bringing Web3 to the masses. But the Web3 fraternity isn’t convinced. How serious is Flipkart about its Web3 strategy?

Three weeks ago, Walmart-owned e-commerce giant Flipkart launched its metaverse platform, Flipverse, for a limited time during its holiday sales. The company sees itself as a platform to introduce his Web3 to the masses, according to executive comments, and the experiment will help them gauge user interest. It aims to attract a Gen Z user base. This generation is more active and open to new technologies and experiences.
