Anupamaa: Sukirti Kandpal entered the Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna-starrer show when it went for a five-year-long leap. Sukirti currently essays the character of Shruti and has certainly won everyone’s heart with her impeccable performance. Prior to Anupamaa, Shruti has been part of renowned shows like Dil Mil Gaye, Kala Teeka, and others. The actress, who is quite active on social media, has always stayed away from the limelight when it comes to her personal life, and hence not much is known about Shruti’s personal life. However, we recently got hold of an old interview of hers where she revealed how she was all set to marry at the young age of 23; however, the wedding got canceled. Sukirti Kandpal was all set to marry in her early 20s; revealed what went wrong with her partner

In a 2019 interview with TOI, Sukirti Kandpal who curretly is seen in Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa accepted that she was supposed to get married a few years ago. She revealed that she was dating a guy called Manavendra Singh Shekhawat (who was not from the entertainment industry) for many years, and the two were also all set to get married. However, destiny had some other plans, and instead of getting married, the duo ended their relationship. Sukirti states that back then, when she was all set to get married, she was too young and wasn’t sure if she could manage her career as well as marriage. However, as they say, not all breakups have a sad ending. Shruti is still good friends with Manavendra, who moved on and got married to someone else. Shruti states that she feels that calling off the wedding was a wise decision for both of them. In the same interview, the actress also stated that for some reason, she has never dated anyone from the entertainment industry, as she has never felt an attraction towards her co-stars.
