Anupamaa and Mangal Lakshmi have similar stories? Deepika Singh reacts to the rumours

Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa has a huge fan following. The show has been running since 2020 and has been the TRP topper since then. It is always in the news and people keep talking about every episode on social media. Anupamaa is a story of a simple housewife who gets no respect at home from her husband, kids and mother-in-law. Anu struggled in her own house and was bearing all the torture of her family. Her husband never treated her well and did not let her move ahead in life. He even cheated on her. However, we have seen that there are many TV shows that have similar storylines now. When the first promo of Deepika Singh and Naman Shaw starrer Mangal Lakshmi released, people compared it with Anupamaa. Are Anupamaa and Mangal Lakshmi similar?

Netizens found the story of Mangal Lakshmi and Anupamaa similar. Now, speaking to Telly Bytes, Deepika reacted to the same. She said that Anupamaa and Mangal Lakshmi are not similar. She shared that when she started she knew the story of at least 100 episodes of Mangal Lakshmi and it was nothing like Anupamaa. She also said that no two shows can ever be the same as no two people are same and no two writers, or scripts can be the same. Every writer, director, and artist have different energy; hence, no two shows can be similar. She said she believes in this and Mangal Lakshmi is about sisters.

However, she said Mangal and her husband’s equation is just a part of the show and is not the same as Anupamaa. She said that some might have felt that it is like Rajan Shahi‘s Anupamaa but that is not true. However, Deepika said that Anupamaa is an amazing show and if her show reaches that level, it will be a blessing for her. She also added that her mother-in-law watches Anupamaa as well.
